Who is Memin Pinguin?
The character is known as Memín Pingüín by some Mexicans due to a publisher’s change, when they found that the word pinga, whence pinguín, was a slang term for “penis” in some countries, but later it was restored to Pinguín. Memín was a creation of the late and famed writer Yolanda Vargas Dulché, and currently, there are talks about making a motion picture based on the magazine and its characters. While Memín suffers a degree of racist taunting, especially in the first issues, the characters mocking him are depicted as either cruel or ignorant. Mexican Minister of Foreign Affairs Luis Ernesto Derbez declared to the press that “it is a total lack of knowledge of our culture; it looks to me that it is a total lack of respect to our culture that some people are making an issue out of this which does not resemble the reality.”
That much about my nickname – you can find me at selected off road and racing online publications with that nickname. What does Memin has to do with the Coyote 300 Race in La Paz?? Nothing besides that he is a mexican character and La Paz is in Mexico…. good enough?? Maybe it also helps a little to satisfy the people sooo concerned about me and who am I!!
We just opened the page 2 days ago (we = there are working in total 3 persons on this off road racing website, Memin is the front men 
) and waiting to get images from different sources. We googled for a view images related to the Coyote 300 race and and display them. We been not able to identify the orginal owners of the images. if you are the owner and either do not like to have your images removed OR like to have credit for them: please mail us and we will do as you wish.
